Nvu (pronounced “N-view”) It is a common WYSIWYG editor for Linux and Microsoft Windows and is intended to be an open source equivalent to proprietary software like Microsoft Expression Web and Adobe Dreamweaver (although to date it is missing many features they possess). As a WYSIWYG editor, it is designed to be easy for novice users and does not require any knowledge of HTML or CSS to use. This is perfect to modify the templates for your personal use, without any out of pocket expense!

I will not lie to you and say you will never have to learn html…but this is a great way to get started quickly and begin learning tricks with html now here!

Start today and play around with the templates to get an idea of how to change them. Keep the primary zip file safe….so you can always reopen it to pull another theme out of it. When modifying one, make a new folder with it named after your project, such as “Cheap Traveling” as an example. Then you want to save a copy of the index page in that folder and open it with NVU. So if you save it by accident, you do not over write the original file.
